Deleted scenes

Roxy Harker began life as long ago as 1993, and gently grew until the outline of Taken emerged in 2000 or so. Her story took several more years to develop into more or less the form it is today.

However, several iterations followed, chapters were tightened, words were trimmed. While many of those words had no business remaining in the book, several nuggets that might have remained, were excised and consigned to the ‘archive’ folder, either to increase the pace or because they added background but didn’t directly advance the plot.

Here are some of those ‘deleted scenes’ which may give the reader a deeper understanding of the story, or simply wonder what the hell I was thinking!
